Just finished the final edit and proofing of DAVID GOLDON’S first book … ENGLE BYEN: A PLACE TO CALL HOME.
No matter how many times I have worked through various sections separately, or read through the entire story from start to finish, this last full read through still managed to reduce me to tears at the end. David is a great writer, this is a wonderful story. I really want to see this as a movie or on TV … desperately.

Went there to eat, not to drink and loved the food. The Sweet Potato Fries were amazing. Burgers were great too. Friendly, fast and reasonably priced. I have to say that I was blown away by the amazingly moody Chicago gangster style corridor leading down to the bathrooms … thought I had walked onto a movie set … brilliant!
A pleasant afternoon tea. All was good but nothing special and there are much better cafes nearby… like LOLAS!
Looks dated, lacking class, overshadowed the ‘viewing experience’ of the tower location. Generall overpriced. We had coffee and cake, it was a reasonable deal but the muffins were dry, heavy, not enjoyable and we left half. The entire place needs to get some style and class to meet expectations!
$25 each to go up in a lift, look at an ‘average’ view’ and take photos. No, not worth it! Don’t bother … here’s the view, save your money. The video of the history of the Gold Coast was interesting at least but not worth $25!
We had a 40% discount voucher from our accommodation … they said they would only honour 30%. The entree was fine. We ordered Barramundi, but they had none, we agreed on Ocean Perch, we got Salmon. (?) It was nice but, seriously, if the waiter could speak more clearly and listen even better then it may have been a good experience, but … too overpriced for the experience. Never again!
