Went there to eat, not to drink and loved the food. The Sweet Potato Fries were amazing. Burgers were great too. Friendly, fast and reasonably priced. I have to say that I was blown away by the amazingly moody Chicago gangster style corridor leading down to the bathrooms … thought I had walked onto a movie set … brilliant!

 

 

A pleasant afternoon tea. All was good but nothing special and there are much better cafes nearby… like LOLAS!

 

 

 

Looks dated, lacking class, overshadowed the ‘viewing experience’ of the tower location. Generall overpriced. We had coffee and cake, it was a reasonable deal but the muffins were dry, heavy, not enjoyable and we left half. The entire place needs to get some style and class to meet expectations!

 

$25 each to go up in a lift, look at an ‘average’ view’ and take photos. No, not worth it! Don’t bother … here’s the view, save your money. The video of the history of the Gold Coast was interesting at least but not worth $25!

 

 

 

 

We had a 40% discount voucher from our accommodation … they said they would only honour 30%. The entree was fine. We ordered Barramundi, but they had none, we agreed on Ocean Perch, we got Salmon. (?) It was nice but, seriously, if the waiter could speak more clearly and listen even better then it may have been a good experience, but … too overpriced for the experience. Never again!

 

 

Thought we would give them a go as the prices looked reasonable. Service was good. The entree was fine. My main was the Aussie 18 Hour Slow Cooked Prime Rib Steak … I regret choosing it! There was far too much uncooked fat, not worth the $40, not even worth $20. I left half of it because it was fatty and inedible … I felt unwell after eating it. NEVER AGAIN! Also, why do the female waiters all wear skimpy denim shorts but the guys wear jeans … very sexist! I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER!

 

Absolutely on the beach!
Amazing location in walking distance to the main Surfers Paradise area to the north and endless food and shopping options to the south, including Pacific Fair; about 25 minutes walk along the beach each way. You must check out Lolas Cafe two blocks away!

We have the ocean facing room we requested and a renovated unit in the top half of the building … all I can see and hear from where I’m sitting now is beach and ocean. 🙂 A beautiful heated pool, secure key only access to the entire property, clean, comfortable, thorough ‘Guest Information’ folder in the unit, with very friendly and helpful reception.
Fast and FREE Wi-Fi as well, even accessible by the pool or on the edge of the beach.
A LIFESAVER patrols the beach right in front from 8am to 5pm (Swim between the flags!).

The SUNRISES are breathtaking and the Full Moon rising is astonishing… directly outside our window!

While staying on the Gold Coast, LOLAS has become our ‘local’ for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. Great range of food and drink, friendly, efficient and fast. BREAKFAST this morning was their ‘Big Breaky’ (replaced mushrooms with spinach) and it was … perfect. The balance of flavours and the way it was cooked were the best I have ever had, anywhere. Coffee was hot, delicious and the food arrived quickly so it was still hot with the meal. LUNCH: The Wagyu Burger is magnificent. Once again, the best I have ever had and the best meal I have had anywhere on the Gold Coast. YOU MUST EAT AT LOLAS if you are ever in the Broadbeach area of the Gold Coast! Thank you, Lolas, we love you!

Our accommodation gave us a 40% Off voucher for SAGE if we order dinner between 5 and 6pm, not a problem to eat at that time around here. Service was good, food excellent, timing also good. We were thankful for the 40%off because even with that it cost the two of us $90 with a shared entree and individual mains, two waters, two glasses of wine … prices are a little high otherwise.

 

My favourite place in all of Wyndham to dine, Wyndham Cache never disappoints me. The food is always great and quick to arrive. The staff are brilliant and the service excellent. Whether breakfast before 11:30, lunch or afternoon tea; they truly live up to their motto of “The hidden treasures of life’s pleasures”.
