60th Anniversary of Doctor Who Celebration Edition of SONIC SCREWDRIVER Magazine
After a break from any involvement in Sonic Screwdriver Magazine, and indeed the DWCV, since 2012, I started contributing again in 2022. At the start of 2023, I spoke to the current Editor, Mark Longmuir, and the Committee about doing a Special Edition Sonic Screwdriver Magazine to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of Doctor Who in November that year. I offered to Sponsor a wide range of Extra Material through my Editing/Publishing business, AvaOrionMedia.com
The end result is the Double Issue #56/57, which also equates to #241/242 in the original numbering system, and includes a new and exclusive Interview with DWCV Founding Member Judith McGinness. The DWCV paid for postage and printing of the BW version of the Double Sonic and I covered all the extras as a gift to the DWCV Members. That included a Full-colour, Double-sided, Wrap-around Poster Cover as well as a 36-page Full-colour Original Fan Comic by Manuel Bouw (who created our wonderful comics back in my days as Editor) and a special PDF book of Original Art Print Images of each of the Doctors, also created by Manuel Bouw, along with a series of 3 full-colour Postcards.
